American Airlines to begin service on new Boeing 777-300ER from LAX to London

American Airlines announced today that it will begin service from Los Angeles to London Heathrow on the highly anticipated Boeing 777-300ER starting June 1, 2013.

The futuristic three-class, 777-300ER will feature fully reclining First and Business Class seats with direct aisle access. The Main Cabin Extra will offer inflight entertainment at every seat, and Wi-Fi capability to keep passengers connected while traveling internationally.

American previously announced that customers traveling between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Sao Paulo (GRU) will be the first to experience the newest addition to American’s fleet in December. In February 2013 the aircraft will fly to London Heathrow from both Dallas/Fort Worth and New York JFK.

“We are excited to bring the Boeing 777-300ER to more of our key markets, giving our customers traveling between Los Angeles and London the opportunity to experience the industry leading amenities this great aircraft has to offer,” said Virasb Vahidi, American’s chief commercial officer. “Our Los Angeles customers will be among the first to experience the state-of-the-art travel experience with new cabin interiors, more inflight entertainment options and seat comfort in every cabin.”
