Air Nigeria to Use iPads for In Flight Entertainment

As technology changes, many airlines are adapting to the technological advances and are choosing alternative methods for passengers to enjoy their in-flight entertainment on. Air Nigeria has announced that it will join a selection of other airlines, in deciding to use the iPad 3 for their entertainment service; this will make them the first airline in African to supply the iPads in-flight.

Air Nigeria selected IFE Services to become the provider of the in-flight entertainment on-board the airline’s fleet of A330 aircrafts. The service will be available to Business Class passengers travelling with the airline; iPads will be provided free of charge for Business Class travellers to use for watching a host of newly released blockbuster films, classic cinema and Nigerian features. There will also be television shows pre-loaded on to the device which will include drama and comedy shows.

The airline operates regional and domestic flights over ten countries in the Central and West Africa regions.

Kinfe Kahssaye, Air Nigeria’s CEO spoke in a press release about the partnership with IFE Services saying: “We are pleased to offer our passengers this unique product to ensure they are relaxed and enjoy first class entertainment on our flights, using state-of-the-art technology.”

“We have always been at the forefront of introducing innovative products for the comfort of our passengers and the content provided by IFE Services for the iPads is such that it will add style to our customers’ travel pattern,” he added.
